Discover a selection of Australia’s iconic eucalypts as you follow this self-guided walk through the Australian National Botanic Gardens. Pick up a printed brochure from the Visitor Centre and follow the map to 21 different species of eucalypt. Each of the featured trees has an attractive and informative sign describing key features of that species. The walk covers a distance of 1.8 km and will take around 1 hour.

The project was funded by the Bjarne K Dahl Trust and the Friends’ Public Fund. Research for the signs and brochure was done by members of the Friends with input from Gardens’ staff.

More information about the Eucalypt Discovery Walk is on page 3 of the April 2013 issue of Fronds, the Friends' newsletter.

The text of the 21 signs, plus some additional information and an introduction, is available in two formats:

The Botanic Gardens website has more information, including a link to the walk brochure.
