Dr Michael Lenz - 'Lake George - a refuge for waterbirds'.

Michael will describe the results of observations made of waterbirds at Lake George to the north of Canberra throughout the recent drought years.

Dr Michael Lenz, is an Honorary Research Fellow at CSIRO Ecosystem Sciences in Canberra and a member of the Canberra Ornithologists Group since 1977. He has been involved in organising and conducting surveys of waterbirds on Lake Burley Griffin, Lake George and Lake Bathurst for many years.
