The weather was perfect for the plant sale on Saturday 14 March which turned out to be the most successful sale the Growing Friends had ever held.

The first Bruce Lindenmayer Memorial Lecture was held 5 February at the Manning Clark Hall, ANU. The lecture was given by one of Bruce Lindenmayer’s sons, Distinguished Professor David Lindenmayer. The recording of the talk, Re-imagining fire in the land of fire, is now available on YouTube for viewing at www.youtube.com/@BruceLindenmayerMemorial.

Bruce Lindenmayer Memorial Lecture Series

The Bruce Lindenmayer Memorial Lecture series was established in 2025 and will run for about 10 years, thanks to a generous bequest to the Friends of the ANBG, who are honoured to be organising the lecture series on behalf of the Lindenmayer family. Bruce Lindenmayer OAM was a highly dedicated environmentalist, conservationist and ornithologist, who was a member of the Friends of the ANBG for fourteen years.
