Flora Explorer mini-bus tours

You are here

Flora Explorer, a 12-seater electric vehicle, takes visitors on a 45 minute guided journey to discover the Gardens’ highlights.

Flora Explorer takes visitors on a postcard tour discovering Australia’s landscapes and ecosystems: the Eastern and Western Mallee regions, the Red Centre Garden (which since its establishment in 2013 has certainly demonstrated its 'boom or bust' nature depending on the weather), the Sydney Region Garden, the Eucalypt Lawn, the Rock Garden and Rainforest Gully. Feel the temperature drop as you glide down the road from the Queensland rainforest to the Tasmanian rainforest at the bottom of the hill.

People of all ages – young and old – can easily experience more remote areas of the Gardens that they may never have seen before. Suitable for the whole family and visitors with limited mobility. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The original Flora Explorer vehicle was funded by the Friends in 2012.
