Duration

Memberships are available for 1 or 3 years.

Durations are calculated on an annual basis from 1st November. Memberships taken after 1st August are valid until 1st November the following year.

We issue new Membership Cards and Parking Permits to every member every year. Members with multi-year memberships will be sent theirs automatically until the membership is due for renewal. We send renewal notices when memberships are about to expire.

Please note that membership fees are not refundable.

Membership categories

Any person, group, or organisation which is committed to and supports the purposes and objectives of the Friends is eligible for membership.

Individual

For one person – Membership Card and Parking Permit
1 year: $60 3 years: $150
 
 

Concession

For one person who is a holder of a Federal Government Pension Benefit Card or full-time student – Membership Card and Parking Permit
1 year: $50 3 years: $130
 
 

Household

For two people living at the same address – 2 Membership Cards and 2 Parking Permits
1 year: $80 3 years: $205
 
 

Group

For groups such as garden clubs or garden-related businesses – 2 Membership Cards (in the name of the group) and 2 Parking Permits
1 year: $80 3 years: $205  

Parking

Members who display a valid Parking Permit can park without charge for up to 3 hours per day.

Special all-day parking passes may be issued to members engaged in volunteer activities, or who have another acceptable reason to stay for longer than 3 hours.

Please note that Parking Permits are valid from 1 January to 31 December, unlike Membership Cards which are valid until 1 November.
