Seeking new Council member for casual vacancy

You are here

We were very sorry to receive Chris Mackay’s resignation from the Council of the Friends of ANBG for health and family reasons.

Would you like to fill this casual vacancy as a general member of the Council?

Are you interested in IT, and/or other Friends activities?

If so, we look forward to receiving a completed nomination and a profile of about 100 words from you about your relevant experience and areas of interest in relation to the Friends activities.

The Council may appoint a member of the Friends to fill a vacancy on Council and the member appointed shall hold office from date of approval by Council until the conclusion of the next annual general meeting after the date of appointment. A person filling a casual vacancy shall have all the rights of an elected member of Council.

Council members may take responsibility for particular activities, such as membership, projects, finance, website and other IT, social activities, newsletter etc, and further information is on the nomination form HERE.

The Council meets on the second Thursday of each month, with the exception of January (when no meeting is held) and we have a number of priorities on our agenda as well as encouraging Friends activities. The key skills required are commitment to team work, volunteering and participating in a broad range of the Friends activities.

Please send your completed nomination form AND profile, signed and dated, to the Secretary at secretary@friendsanbg.org.au by 5pm 25 June 2025.
