Plant Recognition Group survey

You are here

The Friends Plant Recognition Group meets monthly to deepen our understanding of how to recognise a particular group of plants. A workshop leader with expertise in the specific area presents an overview and representative specimens are available to examine.

The Group has microscopes and hand lenses available to enable more detailed study of the specimens.  Presenters will include reference to specific keys and databases, where relevant.

Examples of recent workshops include ferns; Dodonaea (on 17 July); macrophytes of the ACT; and grasses.  We are also considering some field visits around Canberra, to examine plants in situ.

We would like to be responsive to the interests of the Friends and so have designed a short survey. We would appreciate your input through the survey so that we can ensure our planning for 2026 best meets your interests. Could you please complete the survey and return it to plantname@friendsanbg.org.au before 17 August?

Thanks so much.
