Black Mountain Weeding Work Party

Thank you to the wonderful weed that removed hundreds of woody weeds at our last work party. Our next weeding work party is planning to remove more weeds from the grassland and woodland areas in the southwest part of the reserve, on Saturday 1 October 2022. 

Details of the next weeding work party are:

Date: Saturday, 1 Oct 2022, 9:00am to 12 noon.  

Meet:  Caswell Drive entry on the mountain side. Look for banners.
Drive from Belconnen Way southwards along Caswell Drive towards Glenloch Interchange, Woden, or Tuggeranong. Note the yellow diamond shape advisory sign showing the access road on the left (mountain side) and the blue and white “P” sign for parking. Pull into the carpark carefully.

Bring:  Mattocks will be handy. Do you have a mattock? If so, could you put your name on it and bring it along, too, please?

Wear:  hat, sunscreen, long-sleeved shirt, long pants, gloves, stout shoes.

We shall break for delicious morning tea at about 10:30am.
