Relax into summer with a two-weekend program featuring some of the best bands in the nation’s capital. As the sun goes down over the Gardens, the concerts are a popular way to enjoy the summer holidays in Canberra with outdoor picnicking, live music, socialising and dancing – all within a beautiful landscape of Australia's largest collection of native plants.
The 2018 concerts will be on two weekends: Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January followed by Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 of February, featuring these performers:
Saturday 27 January Annie and the Armadillos with Sounds of Shakespeare & Canberra Swing Katz
Sunday 28 January Laura Alyce Ingram with Canberra Swing Katz
Saturday 3 February Gypsy Jazz Project with Jumptown Swing
Sunday 4 February Royal Military College Band with Jumptown Swing
Concerts are on the Eucalypt Lawn at the Gardens in Clunies Ross Street, Acton, on the lower slopes of Black Mountain. Entertainment starts at 5.00 pm, with the concert performances starting at 6pm and finishing at 7.30.
Bring a picnic or enjoy food and drinks for sale on site. Entry $5 adults, $2 concession, children 12 years and under free.
We need volunteers to help with collecting entry donations, supervising parking and transport for disabled patrons, driving the electric vehicles up to the Eucalypt Lawn, and answering queries at the Information Tent. Sign up online here.
