Our annual Summer Sounds evening concert series on the Eucalypt Lawn in the Gardens is a favourite Canberra summer event. This year, despite some challenging hot weather, the atmosphere on the Eucalypt Lawn was always lively and concert-goers clearly enjoyed the opportunity to kick back and relax.

Our performers this year included:

  • Los Chavos
  • Funky Fedoras
  • Good Gosh
  • Mr Tim and the Fuzzy Elbows
  • The Band of the Royal Military College, Duntroon

The Friends Council would like to thank all Friends who answered the call for volunteers during the recent concerts. Volunteering at such events really does help the Friends help the Gardens, on this occasion by collecting entry fees, driving Flora Explorer, staffing the Information Tent, managing disabled parking and providing photographers. We also sincerely thank our sponsor Icon Water for their third year of support.
