The exhibition, Cook and the Pacific, and the immersive sound and light experience, Beauty Rich and Rare, at the National Library, may have aroused your interest in the plants collected by Banks and Solander in Australia on Cook’s 1770 voyage. Join a Volunteer Guide on this special one-hour walk visiting some of these plants, which were illustrated by Sidney Parkinson and subsequently published in Banks’ Florilegium. Discover their Aboriginal uses ranging from medicinal to clothing, food to weaponry.
