Abstract

With the ANBG’s Banksia Garden now well established, it seems timely to reflect on the long fossil history of Banksia.  The use of improved technology has revealed the fine detail of a number of fossil species, showing them to be of greater antiquity than formerly imagined, and with a suite of features reflecting their growth in increasingly challenging climatic environments.
