Dr David Shorthouse ‘STEP: a regional botanic gardens for the southern tablelands – from vision to reality’

David will talk about Southern Tablelands Ecosystem Park (STEP) and its collaboration with the National Arboretum, ANBG, TAMS and John Stanhope and others to develop Forest 20 as a special place to visit.

David Shorthouse is Vice-President of STEP and an active member since the foundation of STEP more than ten years ago. David is also a Visiting Fellow in the Fenner School of Environment and Society, ANU.  David is a former member of the ACT’s Natural Resource Management Council and before retirement was manager of the ACT Government’s wildlife research and monitoring unit.
