Plant life encountered on a trek through Namibia and Botswana: an evolutionary perspective.
Since retiring from CSIRO Entomology nearly 20 years ago insects and plants still remain a focus of my interests.  Joining the Canberra branch of the Native Plant Society has enabled me to learn about our native flora through Wednesday walks and Field trips far and wide but I have travelled further afield with the Alpine Garden Society (UK) looking at alpine plants in Asia, Africa and South America.   With the advent of digital photography and the macro compact camera I have been able to indulge myself in making a record of the plants and insects seen and this has resulted in a guide book to local insects that will be appearing early next year.
