The speaker for our September meeting is Phil McFadden
Subject: Landscape Photography
Phil McFadden is a keen photographer whose images have won silver and gold awards in international competitions.
He will discuss why it is so hard to get a great landscape image, and give some pointers as to how to overcome the difficulties.
There will also be a Show and Tell segment where members have the opportunity to show their recent photographs.

Mark Mohell will give a talk on his work in conjunction with the exhibition Lines of Site: Finding the Sublime in Canberra, curated by Grace Blakeley-Carroll.
Speaker for the May meeting is Photographic Group member and Guide Pam Rooney. Pam will give a presentation on ‘Ordering the chaos: elements of design in photography’ which will include design, composition, colour and framing. There will also be a ‘Show and Tell’ segment where members have the opportunity to show their recent photographs.

An early morning walk in the gardens with hopefully some fog & frost to photograph, then breakfast in the cafe followed by then our usual meeting at 10.30am at the Theatrette. For ANBG Friends only.

Excursion to the National Gallery with Robert Deane where we will be shown a display of original botanical photographs, some dating back to 1850’s. Meet at the gallery at 10.30. As only 16 people can attend it is first in, best dressed. More details later. For ANBG Friends only.
