Check out the Gardens in Winter
There’s lots to see and do at the Gardens this winter.
National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June. The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. Did you know that we have an Aboriginal Plant Use Trail? Follow the signs and learn more about how the local Ngunnawal people used the natural resources of our country to survive.
Celebrate World Environment Day on 5 June. Be inspired by nature on this day – or any day – by taking a walk through the Gardens.
Take a self-guided walk in the Gardens:
Take your own walk at any time that suits you, with a Eucalypt Discovery Walk, an Aboriginal Plant Use Walk, or a Flowers, Fruit & Foliage Walk. Or cross Black Mountain Drive and check out the Bushland Nature Walk.
Join a free Guided Walk with an experienced volunteer Gardens Guide, daily at 11 am and 2 pm. No booking necessary.
Ride on the Flora Explorer Bus. Saturdays and Sundays at 11.30 am and 1.30 pm. Bookings on the ANBG website, or Flora Explorer Bus Tours Tickets, Multiple dates | Eventbrite
