Growing Friends 2023 Spring Native Plant Sale

The Growing Friends plan to hold their Spring Native Plant Sale on Saturday September 16, allowing plenty of time for planting before the summer heat kicks in.

This year, in addition to selling native plants, we will also be running a sale of second-hand books relating to all aspects of the identification, propagation and cultivation of Australian native plants.

Once again the sale will be held in the car park between the Banksia Centre and the Crosbie Morrison Building. It will run from 8.30 am to 11.00 am, unless sold out earlier. As regulars to our sales know. “the early bird catches the worm” or “come early to avoid disappointment”!

See the Plant Description list here (PDF, 402KB). There will be plants to meet a variety of needs and conditions:

All plants for sale are propagated by the Growing Friends from cuttings or seeds sourced from the Australian National Botanic Gardens with the support of ANBG staff. Most of the plants for sale cost $6; some larger plants cost $10. Proceeds from sales go to support the Gardens via the Friends of the ANBG.
