The Friends Photographic Group’s 2018 annual exhibition this year, called ‘Perspectives’ was held from 22^nd November to 10^th December 2018. It was the group's primary Friends fund raiser for the year and a chance to publicly exhibit their photographic skills.

The exhibition displayed over 50 framed works plus unframed prints and many beautiful cards, all produced from photographs taken of the flora and fauna of the Gardens and the wider surrounds. Most items were for sale and were popular choices for Christmas presents. One photograph, Bill Hall's Gang Gangs, was so popular that as well as the print on display, seven additional prints were ordered during the exhibition!

Two photographs were chosen to be donated by the Friends to the Gardens' permanent collection of artworks: Chris Rogers' Red Wattle Bird (above) and Pam Rooney's Flannel Flowers (see main article).

The Growing Friends plant sale will be held on Saturday  10th  November from 8:30am to 11:00am (or earlier, if sold out). Plants sold by The Growing Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens are propagated from material sourced from the Gardens. All proceeds go to support the Botanic Gardens.
