Join horticulturist Toby Golson on a walk in the Rainforest to see and hear about the new plantings from material collected on his field trip in 2014. That trip, and one in November 2017, were supported by the Friends and Toby is keen to share the results. Numbers are limited, bookings are essential. Bookings may be made, from early April, on the Eventarc website. This is a repeat of the walk on 7 June. |

We shall focus on removing non-local Billardiera heterophylla (Bluebell Creeper), Grevillea juniperina subsp. sulphurea, Hakea sericea, Acacia baileyana and other weeds. We may also be going into the southwest corner of the ANBG and Bushland Precinct. Meet: at the corner of Clunies Ross Street and Black Mountain Drive, Acton. Look for banner. We will be ferrying people to the weed area and no parking is permitted at that corner, so some wonderful weeders could park in the Botanic Gardens car park to avoid a parking fine. |
