Summer is a wonderful time to see birds in the ANBG. The busy matchmaking and nest building of Spring is followed by the fluttering of fledglings in January and February.

ANBG Friends photographers Steve and Chris Rogers have spent many hours photographing both juveniles and proud parents in the Gardens. For more photographs and information about the birds please read on.

Relax into summer with a two-weekend summer concert program featuring some of the best bands in the nation’s capital:

Sat 27 January       Annie and the Armadillos
Sun 28 January      Laura Alyce Ingram
Sat 3 February       Gypsy Jazz Project
Sun 4 February      Royal Military College Band

Entertainment starts at 5.00 pm, with concert performances starting at 6.00 and finishing at 7.30.

As the sun goes down over the Gardens, the concerts are a popular way to enjoy the summer holidays in Canberra with outdoor picnicking, live music, socialising and dancing – all within a beautiful landscape of Australia's largest collection of native plants.
